Esta cifra representa un&nbsp;<strong>incremento de m\u00e1s del 100 %<\/strong>&nbsp;con respecto a los 8,076 chequeos nutricionales realizados en 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dichas acciones se realizaron bajo el respaldo de la Direcci\u00f3n Ejecutiva que lidera V\u00edctor Castro como parte de la&nbsp;<strong>visi\u00f3n integral<\/strong>&nbsp;de procurar el&nbsp;<strong>bienestar de los estudiantes&nbsp;<\/strong>a nivel nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De las m\u00e1s de 17,000 evaluaciones llevadas a cabo el a\u00f1o pasado,&nbsp;<strong>5,443 estudiantes presentaron sobrepeso y 443 desnutrici\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Acciones concretas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La Dra. Ana Carolina B\u00e1ez<\/strong>, directora de Formulaci\u00f3n y Evaluaci\u00f3n Nutricional de la instituci\u00f3n, explic\u00f3 que a los estudiantes detectados con bajo peso y desnutrici\u00f3n les fueron entregados&nbsp;<strong>suplementos nutricionales por tres meses<\/strong>&nbsp;para complementar el men\u00fa escolar, acompa\u00f1ados de&nbsp;<strong>instrucciones a los padres o tutores<\/strong>&nbsp;para garantizar su cumplimiento efectivo y sacar a los escolares de este diagn\u00f3stico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A\u00f1adi\u00f3 que, de manera general, la Direcci\u00f3n de Formulaci\u00f3n y Evaluaci\u00f3n Nutricional implementa acciones concretas para&nbsp;<strong>contrarrestar la prevalencia de obesidad y desnutrici\u00f3n en la poblaci\u00f3n estudiantil<\/strong>&nbsp;que, de acuerdo con el estudio \"Estado nutricional de los escolares beneficiarios del Programa de Alimentaci\u00f3n Escolar de Rep\u00fablica Dominicana&nbsp;<strong>(ENPARD 2022)<\/strong>\" se sit\u00faan en 31% y 3%, respectivamente.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre las referidas acciones destacan la&nbsp;<strong>estandarizaci\u00f3n<\/strong>&nbsp;de los platos del PAE, la reducci\u00f3n de&nbsp;<strong>grasas y sal<\/strong>&nbsp;en el men\u00fa escolar, la exclusi\u00f3n de los n\u00e9ctares por su alto contenido de&nbsp;<strong>az\u00facar<\/strong>, la optimizaci\u00f3n del consumo de&nbsp;<strong>vegetales<\/strong>&nbsp;en el almuerzo y la inclusi\u00f3n de&nbsp;<strong>frutas frescas<\/strong>&nbsp;ricas en vitaminas y minerales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cCuando analizamos la situaci\u00f3n actual del mundo, tanto en adultos como ni\u00f1os y adolescentes vemos que cada d\u00eda va incrementando todo lo que son las enfermedades no transmisibles, d\u00edgase las cardiovasculares, la diabetes, el c\u00e1ncer, el sobrepeso, la obesidad, y todas esas entidades tienen una estrecha relaci\u00f3n con la alimentaci\u00f3n del ser humano. Es por eso que estandarizamos todos nuestros platos, velando as\u00ed&nbsp; por una alimentaci\u00f3n nutritiva y saludable\u201d,<\/em>&nbsp;explic\u00f3 la Dra. B\u00e1ez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Educaci\u00f3n nutricional<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A la par de estas medidas, el Inabie lleva a cabo un intenso&nbsp;<strong>programa de educaci\u00f3n nutricional<\/strong>, con charlas que promueven la alimentaci\u00f3n y un estilo de vida saludable dirigidas a los estudiantes, los docentes, personal administrativo y los padres de los escolares.
